Terms and Conditions of IRL

Welcome and Introduction
Welcome to IRL, operated by IRL Dating LLC (“IRL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms” or “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of our app, website, and related services (“Services”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use IRL.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use IRL.
Registration must be completed manually with accurate information.
You must provide your real first name. All profile information, including your name and photos, must accurately represent your true identity.
All profile photos must be authentic, recent images of the account holder. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not share your account with others.
IRL reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion, especially for violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
If your account is terminated, we may retain certain data as described in our [Privacy Policy].
User Conduct and Community Guidelines
You agree not to engage in unlawful, harmful, or offensive conduct.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual exploitation, spamming, scams, posting illegal or explicit material, and impersonation. Impersonation is defined as using the name, likeness, photos, or identity of another person—including public figures and celebrities—to create or maintain a profile. Uploading photos that do not depict the account holder, including AI-generated or digitally altered images, is strictly prohibited.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. IRL does not conduct background checks or verify all users. Exercise caution when interacting, and report misconduct through in-app tools.
IRL may suspend or ban users suspected of violating laws or community standards.
User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create and share on IRL.
By posting content, you grant IRL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content within the Services for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving IRL.
IRL Content
All IRL software, design, trademarks, logos, and proprietary content are owned by IRL Dating LLC.
You may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit our Services without prior written consent.
Privacy and Data
IRL collects, uses, and shares personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using our Services, you consent to these practices.
Payments and Subscriptions
Premium features are available via paid subscription.
Fees are displayed at the time of purchase. Payments are non-refundable unless required by law or explicitly stated.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.
Virtual Items
Virtual goods or features purchased in IRL are non-transferable and have no cash value.
They cannot be redeemed for refunds or real-world currency unless required by law.
Notifications and Location Features
IRL may send you push notifications, updates, and promotional messages.
Some Services rely on location data (e.g., discovering nearby users). You consent to enabling device location services to access these features.
Safety Disclaimer
IRL is a platform for social discovery and dating. We do not guarantee that any interaction will lead to a relationship or meeting.
You are solely responsible for your interactions online and offline. IRL does not conduct criminal background checks.
Always meet in public places, inform someone of your plans, and take precautions.
IRL is not liable for user behavior or the outcome of meetings.
Notifications and Location Features
The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
IRL disclaims all responsibility for interruptions, errors, loss of data, unauthorized access, or harm caused by users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IRL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
In no event will IRL’s total liability exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IRL, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your:
Use of the Services,
Violation of these Terms, or
Interaction with other users.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, not in court.
You waive the right to participate in a class action or jury trial.
Some jurisdictions may not allow arbitration agreements; in such cases, disputes will be resolved in the courts of Pennsylvania State.
Modifications to the Terms
IRL may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
Termination
IRL may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms or for any reason at our discretion.
Enforcement and Strike Policy
IRL enforces a three-strike policy to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all users:
Strike 1 — Formal Warning. The offending content is removed and the user is notified in writing of the specific violation and the applicable policy.
Strike 2 — Temporary Suspension. The user’s account is suspended for a period determined by IRL at its discretion. Access to all IRL features will be restricted during the suspension period.
Strike 3 — Permanent Termination. The user’s account is permanently terminated. This action is final and not subject to appeal.
IRL reserves the right to bypass the strike system and immediately suspend or permanently terminate any account in cases involving severe violations, illegal content, or conduct that poses a risk to the safety of other users. Multiple violations discovered simultaneously may each count as a separate strike.rning. Miscellaneous
Severability: If any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remain enforceable.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and IRL.
